These days it seems like everyone has something to say and we certainly always do. We want to make sure you make plans now to help celebrate America’s Independence Day, so we’re popping off about Tybee Island!
Our 4th of July celebration is so hot we have to start it off a day early. On July 3rd, join us for Tybee’s annual celebration of America’s birthday. Come early and plan to stay late as this is one of Tybee’s busiest days of the year and the island fills up fast. Of course, everything around here runs on Tybee Time, so the show starts around dark thirty (around 9:15pm). The fireworks are staged on the pier, but they are easily viewed from any of Tybee’s eastern beaches.
But wait, there’s more. When we get to popping off we go all out. July 4th-7th it’s the Tybee Arts Association Show and Sale. The Cafeteria at the YMCA (5th St. and Butler Ave) is where it takes place. There’ll be local art that includes paintings, driftwood sculpture, fiber arts, stained glass, prints, jewelry, photography, art quilts, glass art, pottery, handcrafted furniture, and much more. This is where you get the really good stuff so hit it on Friday 6-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Make this a real celebration with a long weekend stay in one of our historic suites. You might choose Seashell. The Seashell is upstairs on the second floor and offers beautiful seashell bedding with neutral earth tones and watery turquoise.
Celebrate your getaway in this Queen-size iron bed, accented by Seashell’s pale yellow walls. This room features a (decorative/non-working) fireplace with the original insert and tile surround, a beautiful armoire and a ceiling fan, as well as a flat screen TV. Amenities of this room also include an en suite full bathroom with ceramic tile and dual sinks and medicine cabinets. This is a perfectly beachy and relaxing guest room!
Surf Song Bed & Breakfast is all set to celebrate American’s Independence Day and we’re always ready to welcome you. We’re popping off about Tybee Island and once you’ve been here you will, too.
